Monday Mingle - last one of 2009!

I finally have a few moments to myself today so I thought I'd come here and spend some time on Monday Mingle - while it's still Monday...as well as I'll be posting another giveaway HERE right after I'm done.

So here are this week's questions:
1. What three things are on the top of your holiday wish list?

On the VERY top - but not likely to get this year (I asked last year too....hopefully next year, or maybe somewhere inbetween. lol) is a tv for my kitchen. I spend 90% of my day in the kitchen and would love to watch some shows throughout the day. Plus, because my kids like eating while watching - I could throw their show on IN the kitchen and have them eat there. I don't mind them eating elsewhere, it just makes for more cleanup.

The second thing HIGH on my list is a nice pair of lulu's. Something I can just slip on and zip Brooklyn to school and not worry about it. So while I was browsing the Lululemon store online (so I could send my husband links to what I wanted) I came across THIS beauty...(the orange....I LOVE it....the green would also be fab!!!) so it's now high on my list. I'm holding off on the pants because a friend told me you have to try them on before you buy and not to just order them. Guess I'll just have to get them another time and not for Christmas but just because *darn*  :)

Also on my list?? actually that's really about it (I know, 3 kind of expensive items and I say *that's about it* LOL)....

2. What are you doing for the holidays? Any special plans? Going out of town?
We are splitting it again this year with my family and Brent's. The special plans - really being with family. I am soooo excited! I still have no idea what I am going to get Brent - so I'd better hurry and figure it out.

3. What is your favorite holiday cookie?
I'm not really a cookie girl, though I'll eat one here and there. But my sister in law makes the most delicious Toblerone Fudge - you can find the recipe on my cooking blog HERE and I really quite enjoy that. I do enjoy making sugar cookies with the kids though and it's always fun to decorate them together.

Closed for the Holidays...

Just passing word that Cute Like Me will be closed for the holidays from December 19th - January 4th. Monday Mingle...On Tuesday - again! LOL

I'm going to stop anticipating I'll do this on video *next* week - although I do plan at some point to get my act together to do this as a vlog, for now this is what it is :) Remember to check out all the entries HERE


1. Tell us FIVE random facts about yourself.

* I have a scar over my belly button from hot soup when I was little

* I hate vacuuming - and rarely do it (and am so grateful for a husband who does it!!!)

* I absolutely LOVE shopping online (go for a natural high!!! lol)

* I have an *X* on my right arm - yes carved there....by a friend...stupid story really - he asked if he could and I couldn't think of a reason to say no (can't quite figure out how the *cutting an x into my arm* didn't raise a red flag)...so he did...with his jackknife - no not sanitized...and because I know you're wondering - No, I don't have any diseases as a result. And yes, I do consider myself lucky. LOL

* I have always wanted a frog or turtle tattoo on my foot, on the outside edge by my pinky toe....maybe one day...

2. Do you wear perfume or cologne? What scent(s)?
I have Ralph Lauren's Blue perfume, and The Body Shop's Coconut Milk Body Lotion (this one is fabulous!!!)...I always loved The body Shop's Mango perfume, but sadly they don't make it anymore :(  I like some of the body sprays and lotions fromVictoria's Secret as well as Bath and Body Works (oh yeah I have the Pumpkin Pie Paradise Lotion - amazing!!! - but it doesn't look like it's on their site. boo) . Oh and I LOVED the Bath & Body works Le couvent Lemon Verbena Body Splash but it was also discontinued :(


3. How many speeding tickets have you gotten in your life?
um...no comment....okay seriously a few....(so glad this didn't ask how many accidents. haha) - but I think I've only had 1 in the past 7 years until last month when I got TWO within two weeks...*urg*


4. Do you go fishing? Do you like to fish?
I don't go fishing although I did with my grandparents as a kid. I'm more of the *suntan on the boat while everyone else catches the fish* kinda girl....my husband and cousin's husband caught some rainbow trout a few summers ago and we cooked it up (we were camping) in garlic butter and it was AMAZING, which tells yo usomething because I don't like fish.


5. What reality tv shows do you watch?

I really like the Amazing Race...and that's about it. I've watched a few seasons of Survivor. Oh and I can't forget - I LOVE The Bachelor(ette) and America's Next Top Model. (Do American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance count??? If so, then those too lol)

Teacher Gifts Anyone??

It's that time of year again....all of us with kids in school or other activities, trying to find the perfect teacher gift. It's nice to give something useful and fun....without breaking the bank. I plan every year to get my act together and really  get something great made up for the teachers but somehow it doesn't *really* hit me until about now - the second week of December, when Christmas break is just around the corner. *ack*

Luckily, I know a fabulous lady with a fabulous blog (you thought I was going to promote my website didn't you?? Well, why not?
